God intended for us to pursue righteousness and honor.
What are we pursuing?
Oh, yeah. Happiness.

When was the last time you asked yourself whether or not the decision you were making was righteous? Or instead do you ask yourself, "is this most advantageous to me?”
Or do you base all your decisions on a mental happiness spectrum?
“Will this make me happier?”
“If so, how much?”

Those with broken compasses believe they are going where they want.
They are.
They are in total control of their feet.
But somebody put a magnet next to their compass and they are going around in circles.

Cults – you come for the truth and stay for the love.
Eventually you forget about the “truth” you came for.
I believe that most people in cults conclude they are phony.
But it is the social happiness that makes them stay and pretend everything is above board.

We can’t be happy.
We can be content but they are not the same thing.

In a way, the heroin addicts arrived at that conclusion before we did.
Their God Ego State calculated the ending.
That is why they accepted the cheap substitute of the drug.
Did you ever wonder why all the beatnik philosophers turned to the heroin dream world for solace?

If all you have is a potato peeler then everything ends up looking like an autopsy.

Finally, to illustrate my point:

There was an episode of the Twilight Zone called “A Nice Place To Visit” where a criminal died during a heist. He woke up in a world much like earth. He was met by an angel named Pip who would get him anything he wanted. At first he just wanted $800. Then he asked for women, booze, everything. He went to play a game of pool and right at the break he sank every ball into a pocket. He went to a casino and won every game he played. He succeeded at everything without effort.

After a while he told Pip he didn’t like it here anymore and begged him to be sent to “the other place.”
Pip told him he was, in fact, in “the other place.”

I tried to find the episode but it seems to not be available anymore.
All I have is this link to a cheap substitute.

Maybe they don’t want you to see it.
It is the exact antithesis of Marvel Comics movies and Fast and Furious type fare.
The metaphorical message within it may interfere with their spell.
They don’t seem to be blocking access to the other, more inane, episodes with metaphors that will not benefit you.

There is only one solution, one escape from your cage.
But you can’t leave if you don't want to.

They have convinced you that if you search your cage diligently you can find happiness.
And that is why you enjoy your slavery.
