PASSING MESSAGES TO THE MAN IN THE IRON MASK
[Hacking the fire wall of the Child Ego State]
Words like “Once upon a time” are an instant trigger for fiction.
The story content entertains the #ChildEgoState but the form of it works on the God and Adult state. The God Ego State is like the Adult but it can see into eternity whereas the Adult can only see into the future, possibly even several generations, but only as far as this present reality will allow him to see.
The analogy/metaphor of the story with all the practical lessons in it is understood by the #AdultEgoState.
While the moral of the story is the type of wisdom understood by the God Ego State.
It is eternal wisdom.
Stated differently, the details of the story are there to occupy the conscious mind (the one in control) – the Child Ego State (CES). They may be forgotten over time.
At the same time, commands and options are slipped in to the Adult, beneath the surface, undetected. They will not be forgotten. The Adult accumulates them. He cross-references them with the other nuggets of wisdom he has collected.
The storyteller tries to keep the CES entertained by keeping him occupied with the content: a castle, a horsy, a princess, a dragon, etc.
The child’s guard or resistance to suggestion drops because he happily consumes the attention he is given by the storyteller. He craves this for his distraction-addicted mind. He hates the notion of growing up and thinks the story is prolonging his Peter-Pan-like existence.
This allows penetration of the message to the imprisoned Adult Ego State down in the dungeon of the subconscious because it appears harmless.
The adult pays attention to the struggle within the story.
He notes the results of the decisions each character makes and extrapolates from them.
You cannot hear a story without consequences evolving from it.
Since we are metaphorical creatures we will deduce a message from it whether there is one or not. We are hardwired to see cause and effect. We MUST see it. Our survival depends on it. Unlike animals we are born ignorant. We can't hunt, fly, or swim from birth like cats and birds. We must learn and learn fast.
And unlike attempts at artificial intelligence we have metaphor detection software that only God can write in the mind of a living creature. It is what makes us “in his image.”
Everything we experience shapes our reality.
So does every story.
Understand that when I use the term “story” I do not just mean dime novels.
The term includes all books, poems, movies/videos, songs, memes, photos, allegories, even news reports.
All of these are initially accepted as entertaining to the mind of the Child Ego State.
But they all have messages too.
And they all have morals.
What did Billy Joe Mcallister throw off the Tallahatchie Bridge?
Have you ever listened to the lyrics of Jim Steinman?
He wrote all the ballads for Meatloaf and a dozen other number one hits.
His music is phenomenally soul-stirringly anthemic.
But his lyrics carry the most scandalously childish selfish evil messages ever heard by human ears. They often tell you the words to use to seduce virgin teen girls.
And the moral of his stories are consistent: you are the most important thing in the universe, there is no God, there are no consequences, so get all you can out of life before you die.
Here is an example of a metaphoric story:
